  1. Will you work on a website that someone else built?
    • Yes.  Our "Work - Publish" method lends itself perfectly to website renovation as well as any work you find your website in need of at any time. 
  2. Do I need a computer to have a website?
    • No, you don't need to have a computer or the Internet to have a website. Only the people who want to view your website will need a computer.
  3. I'm a non-profit organization.  Can you give me a break?
  4. Can I use my own domain?
    • Absolutely. We are very flexible and can work with you no matter how your information is configured when you start and account with us.  We recommend you register your domain with us, to make things as quick and easy as possible... however, if you prefer to register your domain elsewhere, typically we will refer you to the best domain registrars and web hosting companies we have had good experiences with (who comprise a whole price range for all their services).  We are willing to work with whatever domain registrar or web host you may already have associated with your website(s).  We are also very experienced with and willing to field domain registration, domain forwarding, domain masking, domain transfers, web hosting transfers for you.
  5. How does the money flow?
    • Ideally we will send you an invoice via Postal Mail and website progress update via E-mail once a week containing a description of the work done during the time we are billing you for (or at a frequency you request).  Payment is due upon reciept with a 30 day grace period.  Please see our Terms of Service for more information. There are no consultation fees (for the first consultation) or service commencement fees.
  6. How do I know you won't disappear off the face of the earth?
    • You can take a look at our company, refer to testimonials, or call us to voice your concerns, or even visit us for free. We are a small team of experienced and inspired web developers and marketing experts; we are a growing business with a solid reputation, education, and experience that we've built since 2004. We are heavily invested in our web design services which are available to clients around the world. We are in this for the long haul, and as such, we are firmly committed to our services and our clients.  In other words, we are firmly committed to your website, web design service items, and the vision you have for your website.

  9. How secure will my website be?
    • Very secure.  We utilize and recommend the latest and most technologically advanced (in security as well) CMS & e-Commerce software and keep them updated as well as domain registrars and web hosting companies.
  10. Can I transfer my website or domain to Schweb Design?
    • Yes!  We only charge $15.99 a month for hosting your website with us and $19.95 a year for each domain. Probably cheaper than what you are paying now! No minimums, no page limits, no bandwidth limits, 99.9% guaranteed uptime, etc. All other work falls under our hourly "Work - Publish" rate.   11. Do your websites work on a Mac?
    • Yes!  and on PCs.  Schweb Design designs websites that are online applications so there's nothing to install client-side. Essentially, all you need is an internet connection and a modern web browser, and general web viewing standards such as Adobe Reader, Flash, Javascript, Java, Shockwave are also beneficial.  Both Safari and Firefox are supported on Mac.  On PC, we officially support IE 7 or later, Firefox 2+, Opera 9+, and Google Chrome.   Linux users can also use Firefox.  We highly recommend you use the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Internet Explorer in that order.
  12. Is there a contractual commitment or can I cancel at any time?
    • With Schweb Design there are no signup fees and contractual commitments are only required if you decide to use our Work - Publish or Complete Quote or Packaged Site pricing options.  You pay by the week / invoice and you can change update & billing frequency for any type of website at any time (our Work - Publish pricing option).
  13. What about email?
    • Yes, you can have as many email accounts @YOURDOMAIN.com with your hosted website and registered domain(s) as you want with large quota, webmail access, as well as desktop client access with POP or IMAP.
